This is a book I waited years for and was then left a little disappointed after reading. I have however only read it once, and I was comparing it to Morgenstern's brilliant "THE NIGHT CIRCUS".
"THE STARLESS SEA" by Erin Morgenstern.
Regardless of the disappointment, physically the book is stunning. It is a signed Waterstones Exclusive Edition published by Harvill Secker, an imprint of Vintage, and part of the publisher Penguin. It was published in 2019.
The covers both front and back have beautiful artwork and illustrations of a key, a bee, and a sword are copied in black on the edges. I have always loved editions that have artistic edging, either coloured or illustrations. Deckled edges always look great as well.
