TOB BRACKET IS OUT.

I have been so busy this year that the Tournament of Books bracket is already out and I have only read four of the books. This is going to make it extremely difficult to pick some winners.

I do however have a favourite at the moment, and that is "Piranesi" by Susanna Clarke. This was a book that I waited years for, and it did not disappoint me in the slightest. I would love to see it win the Rooster. I also think that last year's Booker winner "Shuggie Bain" by Douglas Stewart will do well. However, that is the thing that makes this tournament so fun, and so controversial. It all depends on who the judge is for the match up and very much comes down to personal taste. This leads to the wonderful discussions and arguments that fly around as people's favourites are knocked out.

Although I have only read four books, I have been following the discussions on goodreads and it looks like there are some great books in the mix this year.
