MILES FRANKLIN SHORTLIST ANNOUNCED.

The Miles Franklin Shortlist has been announced. Of the six books selected I have read two and am currently reading the third. Both of the books that I have read I have thoroughly enjoyed. THE WHITE GIRL by Tony Birch was a tremendous read using the Stolen Generation as the backdrop, while THE RETURNS by Philip Salom was the eleventh Buddy Read with Nat. We both loved it. I am currently reading ISLANDS by Peggy Frew and although I have only read a couple of chapters it has oodles of promise.
