MILES FRANKLIN AWARD SHORTLIST ANNOUNCED.

CLICK ON THE TITLE TO SEE THE LIVE LONG AND SHORT LIST.

The 2021 Miles Franklin Shortlist has been announced and I am ecstatic because my personal favourite, "THE RAIN HERON" by Robbie Arnott has made it. It's also quite bizarre because the two books that I have chosen to read from the longlist that I had not read, both made the shortlist as well. I am a big fan of "THE WHITE TIGER" by Aravind Adiga, which won the 2008 Booker, so I naturally chose "AMNESTY". And "AT THE END OF THE SOLID WORLD" by Daniel Davis Wood sounded excellent as well so I chose it. Nat from our buddy reads also has both books on order from the library and I think we will be buddy reading "AMNESTY", so keep an eye out for our review of it.
